Catamaran Charter British Virgin Islands Catamaran Charters in the Virgin Islands

Sample itinerary for a catamaran charter in the Caribbean's British Virgin Islands:

Arrive by airplane at Beef Island, Tortola and take a short taxi ride to Village Cay or Sopers Hole Marina to meet your yacht and crew. Your Catamaran adventure begins at noon so when you get aboard light lunch will be waiting for you. After lunch, get settled in and get ready for the vacation of a lifetime!

Day 2
A morning sail can take you to the Dog Islands for some colorful coral dives or you can visit the Baths on Virgin Gorda. These spectacular rock formations below and above water can be explored by land or sea and snorkeling here is a must. Lunch is just outside Spanish Town, so you can shop or take a taxi for an Island tour. Then a fast sail up the west side of Virgin Gorda one of the most beautiful of the Virgin Islands. In the evening, dance at the Bitter End Yacht Club to the local reggae band in the elegant settings that this resort offers. Dinner is enjoyed onboard.

Day 3
Spend the morning enjoying the North Sound - truly one of the most outstanding natural harbors in the Caribbean. Enjoy good windsurfing, snorkeling, hiking and shopping here. Visit the four exclusive resorts and take on some shore duty. Or, sail to Anegada, the sunken land nestled within a horseshoe reef, the third largest barrier reef in the world. For the first half of this 2-3 hour sail there is no land visible, then the palm tree's appear on the horizon warning you of you imminent arrival. After lunch absorb the atmosphere of the anchorage at Setting Point. Informality and relaxation are the key elements of Anegada. Deserted beaches, fringed reefs and the unique flora and fauna of the salt ponds, home to the pink flamingo, await your exploration. Lobster dinner on one of the beach resorts is a must. . As darkness falls, with cocktail in hand, you will see from the cockpit of the boat the driftwood fires on the beach grilling your lobster. The open air restaurant in and around the beach promises a dining experience only Anegada can offer. Just another reason why you come to paradise!

Day 4
A leisurely downwind sail to Jost Van Dyke offers ample opportunity for stopping on the way. Cane Garden Bay, Sandy Spit and Green Cay are all places of exceptional beauty. Just take your pick. For the over night stop, White Bay is secluded and quiet with only the Soggy Dollar Bar ashore or Great Harbor is ideal for those who would like to visit the famous Foxy's Tamarind Bar. Sample his Sly fox or Dread fox both made from Foxy's firewater rum and listen to his calypso songs. Beware you'll possibly be in one of his Caribbean songs! Pick your picture perfect evening - stop, happy hour and dinner are served onboard.

Day 5
After breakfast explore Sandy Cay, the uninhabited tropical island - the view from above the coconut palms is magnificent. After an early lunch set sail for Norman Island (Treasure Island) about 2 hours sail. Snorkel at the caves and be amazed at how many fish there are in these crystal waters. The evening is spent in the Bight, with a possible visit to The William Thornton for an after dinner party - a wild floating bar where everybody lets their hair down and tells their sea-faring tales of the day ... and how fast they sailed! Most vividly of all, it is the Pirates 3 caves which is the picture you will remember!

Day 6
After breakfast snorkel at the pinnacle at Cooper Island, this is a lovely snorkel as is the point of the western tip of Cooper Island. Before lunch set sail for Cam Bay at Great Camino, this is a wonderful lunch-time stop at a little bay where you are all by yourself. Cam Bay also has it's own little barrier reef so enjoy a snorkel before motoring round to Trellis bay in preparation for the next days flight home.

Day 7
At Trellis Bay your last snorkel deep into the late morning before your flight home. Paradise remembers you just as you remember her. You'll already be planning your next trip as you are whisked off to meet your flight home.

Your itinerary is completely flexible depending on how active or relaxed you would like to be during your charter. Prior to your vacation the crew will be in touch to introduce themselves and discuss an itinerary outline with you. Ultimately this is your private yacht, so you can change your plans and stay longer in an area, or head off to new shores whenever you'd like - it is entirely up to you.
